Daniel Radcliffe to Play Young Allen GInsberg

Daniel Radcliffe, most famous to the world as Harry Potter, has set his sights on playing legendary, beat poet Allen Ginsberg in the forthcoming thriller Kill Your Darlings.

The film is set to follow the young Ginsberg when he first came to New York and helped create the Beat literary scene. The film will also explore the relationship between Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, and Lucien Carr. Carr was jailed for second-degree murder in 1944 for the murder of David Kammerer, who was allegedly stalking Carr. Kerouac helped dump the body in the Hudson.

The film is being directed by John Krokidas. It was originally going to be released in 2009, with Ginsberg being played by Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), and Kerouac by Chris Evans (Captain America).
