Batman and Bane Footage

Spoiler Alert!

While filming a fight scene between Batman, Christian Bale, and Bane, Tom Hardy, in Pittsburgh in front of the Gotham City Court House, The Dark Knight Rises team was caught on camera.

The leaked photos below not only feature an upgraded bat-suit (yes, I’m probably the only person who has noticed that), but also reveal a full-body shot of Christopher Nolan‘s rendition of Bane standing on top of a camo Tumbler.

For noobs:  A Tumbler is what they call the new, and improved, Batmobile.

In the comics, Bane is significantly taller and more muscular than Batman, which is what makes him such a formidable opponent. As evident in these photos, however, Christian Bale and Tom Hardy stand at around the same height.

Unless they’re planning on using CG to bulk up Hardy, and some serious camera angling to make him seem a foot taller, then it is safe to say that Nolan has decided to craft a much more realistic portrayal of the buff bad boy.

For noobs: CGI refers to Computer Graphic Imagery, and is used frequently in films to render objects or movements that are impossible to film otherwise. Think Avatar, or Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Presuming that the one on the left is Batman’s Tumbler, this will probably make for one heck of a chase scene.
