George Clooney Talks Gravity
George Clooney (The Ides of March, The Descendants) spoke to USA Today about the upcoming Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men, Harry potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) film Gravity.
“A satellite blows up and space junk causes damage. We go out in space suits, and she and I are tethered together, floating through space.” Said Clooney
The she that Clooney is referring to is Sandra Bullock (the Blind side, Crash).
“Sandy is the lead and she is beautiful in it. We have known each for way over 20 years. It’s fun to work with her.”
Speaking about the direction that Cuaron is taking with his sci-fi film, Clooney said “It’s a two-hander with only two actors in the whole film. It is a very odd film, really. Two people in space. No monsters. It’s more like 2001 than an action film.”
The film is being shot in 3D. The film is set for a release date of November 21st, 2012.
