Iron Man 3 Set For North Carolina Shoot

Written by Nick Workman October 27, 2011

Marvel Studios has confirmed that Iron Man 3 is set to shoot at Wilmington Screen Gems Studio in North Carolina.

Shooting in North Carolina will give a big tax break for the film and a big pay off for the state, with the shoot expected to create 550 crew jobs and an additional 1,000 talent positions.

Little detail has been given on the plot so far, and Robert Downey Jr. is the only star signed onto the film. The film is to be directed by Shane Black (Lethal Weapon), replacing past director Jon Favreau.

The film is expected to open May 3rd, 2013.

Robert Downey Jr. can next been seen in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, which opens December 16th, 2012
