Mad Men Star Joins Lincoln

Steven Spielberg‘s biopic on U.S. president Abraham Lincoln, Lincoln, is now filming in Virginia, but that has not stopped Spielberg from still adding to his cast. Reports are coming in that Jared Harris (Mad Men) has joined the cast, taking on the role of Ulysses S. Grant.

Spielberg’s Lincoln is based on Doris Kearns Goodwin’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book, Team of Rivals. The movie will follow Lincoln’s rise to politics and his role in the American Civil War.

Also starring in the film is Daniel Day-Lewis (There Will be Blood) as Abraham Lincoln, and Sally Field (Mrs. Doubtfire)as Mary Todd Lincoln.

You can next see Harris as Professor Moriarty in the upcoming sequel to Sherlock Holmes, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.
