Jeremy Renner Talks Bourne Legacy

Written by Nick Workman November 22, 2011

Jeremy Renner (The Avengers) sat down with Empire magazine to discuss the new Bourne movie, The Bourne Legacy.

“My character is called Aaron Cross,” Renner said, “but he ends up having a bunch of different names. For fans of the franchise, [The Bourne Legacy] has that same ticking clock, but it’s a new programme and new characters.”

When asked if Treadstone, the organization after Jason Bourne in the original films, was still involved, Renner said “Yeah, it’s that same deal, it’s just a new set of agents with a different leash. It’s the same tempo and pace but more expansive and bigger. The differences are pretty vast but you’ll know it’s a Bourne movie.”

The Bourne Legacy is set to hit theater August 3rd, 2012. Co-staring in the film are Edward Norton (The Incredible Hulk) and Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardner).
