Live Action Akira Film Offers Roles

The live action adaptation of the Katsuhiro Otomo‘s manga Akira is rumored to have offered roles to Gary Oldman (the Dark Knight, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) and Helena Bonham-Carter (Fight Club and the King’s Speech). The film, green lit last week, has offered the role of the Colonel to Gary Oldman and Lady Miyako to Helena Bonham-Carter. Also rumored to be in-talks to play lead character Kaneda is Tron:Legacy star Garret Hedlund.
