Paradise Lost Halted

Legendary Pictures has announced that they are halting production on Alex Proyas‘ (I, Robot) Paradise Lost due to concerns over the script and a growing concern over budget.

The film, based on John Milton’s 17th century poem, was going to be a big-budget, FX epic that depicted the war in heaven between the archangel Michael and Lucifer. Bradley Cooper (The Hangover) was set to star in the film as Lucifer with a supporting cast of Casey Affleck (Tower Heist), Rufus Sewell (Dark City), and Camilla Belle (10,000 BC).

This is the second film for Bradley Cooper that has not worked out, with him walking away from The Crow revamp over creative differences earlier in the year. If this continues, then we might see a Hangover 3 a lot sooner than expected.
