Pixels Set for a Summer 2013 Release

Written by Nick Workman November 24, 2011

Sony Pictures has announced that it will be releasing Patrick Jean‘s adaptation of his own short-film Pixels for the big screen on May 17, 2013.

It is said that the adaptation will be an action-comedy in a similar style to Ghostbusters, one in which video game characters come out of television and computer screens to wreck havoc in the real world.

Adam Sandler‘s production company Happy Madison will be producing the film.

The film takes the May 17th, 2013 date away from Roland Emmerich‘s Singularity, which is being delayed due to rewrites.
