Johansson Talks About Her Future as Marvel Comic’s Character The Black Widow
Scarlett Johansson will be reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff, aka the Black Widow, in 2012 film The Avengers. In an interview for the upcoming film We Bought A Zoo, Johansson told comingsoon.net about her hopes for a Black Widow film in the future.
I love playing the Widow. I think she’s got a very interesting past, a lot of storylines to explore, and certainly Kevin (Feige) loves that character. I think that Marvel has a very personal relationship with their fans, and I think if the fans want it, and the audience wants it, nothing’s impossible. I would love to explore that option as well. Like I said, I love the character and it would be nice to see something nice and gritty.
Marvel Studios executive producer Kevin Feige has already alluded that such a film is a possibility. Marvel Studios currently has two open slots for films in May and June 2014.
