Tom Cruise is set to die again and again

Tom Cruise has agreed to star in Doug Liman‘s (The Bourne Identity) All You Need is Kill, which is being produced by Warern Bros. Pictures.

The film is an adaptation of the manga, which is written by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, with art done by Yoshitoshi ABe. The manga is described as follows:

When the alien Gitai invade, Keiji Kiriya is just one of many raw recruits shoved into a suit of battle armor and sent out to kill. Keiji dies on the battlefield, only to find himself reborn each morning to fight and die again and again. On the 158th iteration though, he sees something different, something out of place: the female soldier known as the B*tch of War. Is the B*tch the key to Keiji’s escape, or to his final death?

Though the deal has not officially been signed, a script has been written to cater to Tom Cruise’s age.

The project is expected to start filming sometime in late 2012.

You can next see Tom Cruise in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, which hits theaters December 21st.
